Overview:
Power (RP) Graphite Electrode is made of high-quality petroleum coke and pitch, through calcination, batching, kneading, molding, baking, graphitization, machining, and the Graphite Electrode Nipple is made by three times impregnation and four times baking process.
Graphite Electrode is a crucial component in various industrial processes such as electrochemical sensors and electrothermal devices. It consists of a thin graphite sheet coated with a conductive material, typically carbon paste, which provides electrical conductivity. The electrode’s surface area to volume ratio determines its sensitivity and the rate of electron transfer. The choice of graphite electrode type depends on the specific application, including the desired sensitivity, stability, and cost-effectiveness. Graphite electrodes are widely used due to their excellent performance and versatility, making them essential components in many industries.
Features:
-
Low coefficient of thermal expansion, resistance to cracking, spalling and thermal shock;
- Higher mechanical strength;
- Higher machining accuracy and good surface finish;
- Long operation life;
- Stable chemical properties, suitable for long-term use and reduced maintenance costs.
Applications:
Graphite electrode is a high-performance conductive material based on carbon. Due to its unique physical and chemical properties, it has important applications in many industrial fields.
Conventional power (RP) graphite electrodes are suitable for various AC and DC conventional power arc steelmaking furnaces, submerged arc furnaces, and resistance furnaces. It has become a core material in the fields of metallurgy, chemical industry, energy, etc., and is constantly expanding to emerging fields such as new energy and environmental protection.
